Welcome to the web page of the Fall 2007 Eastern States Section Meeting of the Combustion Institute.

Fall 2007 ESS Meeting will be held in Charlottesville, Virginia, home to the University of Virginia, which was founded by Thomas Jefferson in 1819 as one of the first public universities in the country.

The goal of the conference is to bring together researchers involved in experimental, theoretical, and computational investigations in the general area of combustion.

The program will consist of 2.5 days of oral presentations in 3 parallel sessions. The short abstracts (100-200 words) will be included in the Program Book and the extended abstracts (4-pages or more) will be included in the Meeting CD.

A welcome reception/registration will be held at the meeting venue (3rd Floor of the Newcomb Hall --- see location for details), starting at 6:00pm on Sunday, 21 October, 2007. The traditional Monday night banquet will be held in the Harrison Institute/Small Library Auditorium, with a special address by 2002 Nobel Laureate John Fenn (Chemistry).
